I felt kind of special at church yesterday. I was wearing my authentic Hawaiian shirt. I mean really authentic. It was one of my souvenirs from the trip. Lots of well wishes from folks assuring us of their prayers for Chris’ surgery.
Kel and his crew came over after church. They treated us to a cookout of burgers and French fries. We provided the sno-cones and ice cream for dessert. We watched some Duck Dynasty for a while. Then they brought out some table games and played them until the Astros game started around three.
And now we head into Texas for Chris’ surgery. Have to be there by 7:15. Two procedures before surgery, then surgery lasts a couple of hours. Then recovery a couple of hours. We will be there a while.
Ephesians 4:32 says, Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Father, please guide the doc’s hand today. And give Chris some peace through this process. Amen.
