The day after the highly-emotionally charged tension of the graduation started much calmer than the day before. It was raining outside. No one had any particular place to be. Well, until the ladies all took off to get AnnaGrace to her dance class photo session. That kicked in the guys’ need to race over to pick out some Mother’s Day gifts for Christi. I tagged along with them.
I gotta say, we have some creative grandsons. They came up with everything from pink flamingos to another item with, well, let’s just say an unusual outer covering. Interesting, huh? Sorry I can’t say more. Christi may read this before they present her with the gifts. And the cards they selected were even better. Mom will be proud.
I went with Josh and Luke and MaddieBelle to the local dog park. That thing was huge. The park, not the dog. Maddie had plenty of friends there to run and play with, and she was exhausted when we left.
Last night we had pizza and watched a movie. The original Freaky Friday. Funny stuff. Then we gave out our souvenirs and watched some of our Hawaii photos. Maybe we’ll see a few more today after church and Caleb’s voice recital.
Psalms 143:10 says, Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
Father, thank you for the time to just not be tense and on edge. It was nice. Amen.
