December 1 - “One day at a time”

Chris had a doc appointment with the podiatrist to carve on her foot. So I took the opportunity to begin carving in some wood. Not sure how this one may turn out. We’ll see how long my intervals of back focus are after Monday.

We had home group once again last night. And they surprised me with a get well quiz game where the answer to every question was “back.”  Very funny, actually. They also gave me a get well card with some gift cards to a restaurant. Guess we’ll be celebrating something or other soon. Thanks, guys. Love you all, too.

Actually that was the last meeting for a while. Until next year, anyway. The back surgery is Monday. I’ll probably still be in the hospital next week. The following Thursday is the church Christmas party. Then we’re into the actual Christmas holidays.

So … bring on Monday and we’ll go one day at a time from there.

Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ says, Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart— they do no wrong but follow his ways.

Father, thank you for your one day at a time promises. Amen.
