July 6 - “One down”

About the only residue from my health issues was a lot of belching and some heartburn. I finally ate some potato soup, and I guess that helped. At least it gave my stomach’s acid something to chew on besides itself.

Sam stopped by around noon. While at Walmart, she had just been notified of an appointment with her water therapist … in about an hour.  That didn’t leave her enough time to get home and back. So she came to on her other home - our house.

Chris had her first actual radiation appointment yesterday. Sam prayed for her while she was here. Jachin and Micah assured her the day before that they were praying. Lots of other friends and families have said they are joining in to pray as well.

After the “trial run’s” hour-long session and the migraine-level headache Chris had afterwards, Chris took some Tylenol before she left the house. I paid close attention to the time when she first went back. And to my surprise, she came out just 26 minutes later. The session still had its challenges, but the headache was not nearly as bad. That’s one down and just fourteen more to go.

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9‬:‭37‬-‭38‬ says, Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Father, thank you that Chris made it through her first session. She’s a strong one. And thank you for calling so many others to pray for her. Amen.
