July 22 - “Two more to go”

The walk was back once again yesterday. And I actually broke the twenty-minute mile. 19:17, in fact. My hip was making a lot of noise, but I managed to tune it out and keep up the pace. Maybe some day I’ll catch up with Chris’ 17 minute pace.

Chris finished up full week number two of radiation. That was session number thirteen. Two more to go.

On the way home we made a Walmart run. Just needed some groceries. Why? We didn’t want to do anything that would necessitate going … well, anywhere over the weekend. Interstate 45 is due to be shut down in both directions. And no less than three cruise ships will be in port. That’s about 40,000 extra people. I’ll stay at home, thank you very much.

Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬-‭14 says, For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Father, please be with all those folks who have to be on the highway this weekend. Amen.
