I took off early yesterday. Went to the men’s breakfast at church. It started at 7. Lots of great food, too. Bacon and eggs. Biscuits and gravy. Pancakes and homemade jellies. I had to leave early, but not before the guys prayed for Chris and her family. Thanks for that, fellas.
Back at home, we attacked the back yard. By that I mean moving around furniture and plants, sweeping and hauling trash to the front yard, and even vacuuming seat cushions. As soon as we get the last load of trash hauled to the front yard (that’ll happen on Monday) it will be amazing just how much room is back there. And that doesn’t even include the deck space.
I managed to take some key breaks here and there. Like during the second half of the A&M football game. The Aggies came back in the second half from being behind 30-3 at halftime to win 31-30. Exciting game. We also watched some of the Texas Tech game. That was a laugher. Tech systematically dismantled the opposition and won by a bunch. Finally, we split some time between Baylor (they were outmatched) and Texas vs Georgia. Whew! That’s a lot of football.
John 3:16 says, For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
Father, thank you for all the work we got done outside. It was really good for Chris to stay busy. She we was thinking a lot about her brother. Amen.
