November 11 - “Wait three months”

Early appointment was for me this time. I had a steroid injection into the base of my thumbs for the arthritis pain I’ve been having.

Next steps…

Wait three months.

If the pain goes away, all good.

If it gets worse, next step is surgery. Sounded like a micro version of knee replacement.

If pain in other joints gets worse, call sooner and get an injection there.

We’ll see what happens.

Oh! I was a really good patient. Know how I know? I left with a Superman sticker on my shirt. Up, up, and away!

The workers were back when we got home. They stayed all day. Got the steps all demo’ed and even got the new ones done. They also power washed all the stairs and part of the rest of the deck. We can finish that after they are all done. They still have the caps to put on, one rail to replace, several of the pickets to replace, and numerous pickets to reattach. They’re not done yet.

Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭3‬ says, A voice of one crying out: Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.

Father, thank you for the relief in my thumb. I know it may be temporary, but I’m guardedly optimistic. Amen.
