September 15 - “Romantic”

We took a romantic stroll in the morning. And what made it romantic? Well, other than the lovebirds walking side by side … it started raining. Walking in the rain - always a romantic endeavor. Of course, the lightning did cause our walk time to shrink considerably …

Later we decided to enlarge the scope of our little tête-à-tête. I went with her to her appointment with the eye doctor. To quote (sort of) an old canine friend, “The better to see me with,” right?

And our escapade didn’t end there. We added a trip to the bank, and another to pick up prescriptions, and a third to traipse around Walmart. What could be better than that?

Last night was home group. Always great to see them, especially when the teaching was on the friendship of David and Jonathan. Homework … be friends.

This morning we are packing up to head to Waco. Caleb has a football game tonight (possibly in the rain). Zak has a cross country race Saturday morning. And of course we’ll get to stick around Sunday morning for our Waco Sunday School class. Can’t wait to get on the road.

John‬ ‭5‬:‭24‬ ‭says, Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

Father, thanks for our time together doing, well, normal stuff. Amen.
