September 4 - “Print or Pass”

Chris went walking without me yesterday. It was my recovery day. I stayed home and worked on the new jigsaw puzzle. Really tough one this time (read sarcasm here). It only has 300 pieces. After that last 1000 piece struggle, though, this one was a welcome respite. Yep. “Was.”  Chris finished it. Harry Potter World strange beasts of the forest. Thanks, Brennan, for that one.

Chris has been poring through our digital photos from our Panama Canal trip. She wants to get some printed so she can make an actual album. Coincidentally, CVS has a big sale going on right now on prints, so the pressure is on to get it done before the sale stops. So … we sat in front of the computer and marked which ones to print and which ones to pass on. And I gotta say, she is … thorough. We ended up ordering 540 prints. And that’s after culling a boatload of others. That’s gonna be one huge scrapbook.

Oh, and we did have a little bit of neighborhood activity happen. An ambulance pulled up to our neighbor’s house just as it started to rain. The lift they had over there just broke down the other day, and the owner is replacing it with a ramp instead. The ramp is not yet complete, so the medics had to bring her down the stairs with the transport chair and put her onto the stretcher at the sidewalk. But did I mention the rain?  The stretcher was getting drenched, so I grabbed an umbrella and went out and covered it best I could. I guess it helped a little. The medics did a great job getting her transferred and into the ambulance.  Of course they got drenched in the process. It’s not an easy job, but thanks so much to them for doing it.

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:15‬ says, “Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.”

Father, please be with Candy at the hospital. Give her docs wisdom to figure out what’s is going on with her. And please be with the families of the student killed in the car wreck the other night, as well as with the others who were injured. Amen.
