Yes. It happened to me this morning. I admit it. I typed “September” instead of “October.” Oh, well. At least it gave me a chance to play with the cross-out feature in the Word font programming.
We
had some weird water pressure yesterday.
Actually, we had not much pressure at all. People were posting on our neighborhood Facebook
page about it, so it was widespread. We
got the answer this morning in an announcement from the city. Gotta love their wording:
“Residents
and businesses west of 61st Street may be experiencing low water pressure after
an incident during construction at the airport pump station.
Earlier,
a contractor working at the pump station near the airport ran into an issue,
which caused a water line disruption.”
Should
have just said, “Oops. We busted a water
line. We’ll fix it.”
We
walked our three miles, then I went back to work on the computer. Chris kept on with the rest of her
workout. Ten flights of steps. The girl is determined. Speaking of exercise, I read an article by
one of the local UTMB docs. He says the
best defense, and subsequently best treatments, for Covid is to exercise. Keeps the lungs active and healthy. Well, OK, then.
Speaking
of Covid, Christina is still down with her Covid experience. She does seem to be getting better,
though. She waved at me when I carried
in the chicken and dumplings Chris made for them. I was hiding under a towel at the time. Oh, and here’s some further news … Kel tested
positive. They made it through three of their
kids getting it a few months ago with no problems. I’m not sure where they found it this time –
or rather, where it found them. Guess
the quarantine is on. How long depends
on their individual doctors and how they choose to treat them. Kel’s doc is sending him for the antibody
infusion today, so I predict – based on my own massive realm of experience –
that he will be fine in a day or to.
His
positive may prove to be a bit of a negative at church. Chris and I leave for Kentucky next
Thursday. That means if he is still by
chance in quarantine, Kel may have to get a sub preacher for him on the
tenth. Oh, well. No time like the present to act like he’s in
charge.
Oh,
to close on some good news, the Astros won their division last night. WooHoo.

Corinthians 16:13-14 says, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous;
be strong. Do everything in love.”
Father,
please use the treatments of the doctors, as well as some of your supernatural
healing prowess, to bring Kel and Christina back from the world of the Covid. Amen.
