The day began with another flurry of activity. Chris was putting the finishing touches on house cleaning for home group. She also got started on the final few loads of laundry so we could pack. I did the vacuuming, then finished all but about 33 pieces of the jigsaw puzzle. Had to leave some for Sam to finish up, right? And finish it up she did. In fine fashion, I might add. Nice job, Sam!
In the afternoon Chris took Sam up to Texas for her chemo appointment. It took longer than expected, but they still managed to swing by Olive Garden on the way home and pick up some good stuff for supper. Chris had minestrone soup. I had lasagna. I can’t pronounce what Sam had. Some kind of chicken. It was all good.
We are hitting the road again. We’ll be back to the island in June. See ya!
Proverbs 11:24 says, One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.
Father, please ride with us on the beginning of our journey today. Amen.
