The coolest thing I have seen happening through all the folks who have visited is the message of hope they all communicated when they talked to Sam. They may have said, “goodbye,” but it was always also accompanied by something like, “see you later.” That, my friends, is the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) hope in the future - the real, eternity kind of future - that Christians have.
As Chris so eloquently said, “Sam has begun her new journey!” She completed this leg of her life around 1 pm. And now the best is yet to come!
Please keep us all in your prayers.
Romans 15:13 says, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Father, O God of Sam’s indomitable spirit, receive her into your arms and give her rest. She doesn’t have to “do it all” anymore. Amen.
