Everybody else left early. 7:31, to be exact. They were headed to their to church’s family camp an hour or so away. We didn’t have to leave until 8:30 (or close to it). Our destination was the Mansfield area. It was finally time to sign up for the daily excursions we plan to take on our Hawaii trip.
We
met up with the Huntley’s and the Winkles around 10, and by 1 we had selected,
reserved and paid for (ouch) our excursions for our Hawaii trip. The rest of
the day we spent eating a chicken soup lunch prepared by Dianne, just chatting
and overall beginning to get excited.
When
we got home I was able to figure out their TV enough that we watched a movie on
the Disney channel: Disenchanted. It was a sequel to the movie Enchanted. Imagine that.
Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loves at all
times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”
Father,
please be with the Columbus Avenue group as they finish up Family camp this
morning and head home. Amen.
