July 13 – “I’m a nut …2”

Some challenge to the camp dress code
Forced us the trailer to unload
Shorts and shirts were scrambled for
But Jen’s trunk was nowhere near the door

Breakfast waits we need some gas
Wait, Jim, McDonald’s you just passed
I think PK needs a hug
He talked to Barry – a little bug

We all like to sing the song
So Chloe’s birthday lasted long
At McDonald’s, rest stops, too
We sang happy birthday to you

Back again on our way out
Mike’s Tomtom drew a crazy route
Through the campus of Texas Tech
Circled back and resumed our trek

Allie got desperate in Muleshoe
Used the men’s restroom – Kelly, too
Must be dreaming – what’s that sound?
Beep-Boop junior we have found

Oh, the sadness, alas, alak
A fly-by train rolled on the track (haunnk)
Memorial service at the door
For border Beep Boop is no more

We drove through the camp front gate
Hose and buckets were our fate
Got moved in with little wear
Girls are close, but guys have air

Father, take over. Heal the physically sick ones like Lora. Touch the spiritually sick ones, too. Amen.
