April 15 – “Another day”

Chris had another session of cardiac rehab yesterday, and they wouldn’t let her leave.  No, it wasn’t another heart attack episode.  This time the all-knowing instruments indicated that her blood pressure was something like 90/60.  They insisted she drink a bottle of water and stay seated until it had a chance to come back up.  I think they finally relented and freed her from captivity when it got up to 98.  She never felt particularly bad or light-headed, though, other than a slight headache.  She goes to the PCP on Tuesday about that and the lung issue.

I had an appointment of my own yesterday.  A much needed one with … my hair stylist.  That is what they call barbers nowadays, isn’t it?  And I got to hear all the exploits and escapades of Suzann’s trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon and some of the national parks out there.  She experienced some of the things on the schedule for our next trip (after the Florida Keys).  Sounds like she had a great time.  Plus, she went to the Astros game the night before.  Now that … I was a little jealous about.  Of course they didn’t help the team win.

Our grocery run for the week began at Academy.  Weird, huh?  But I had a coupon for $10 off any purchase, and I needed some new non-squeaky shoes.  We also grabbed a hat for Chris to keep in the car.  She is supposed to keep her cheek covered from where she had some skin cancer removed.

Now we are off to take Cailyn to school.  And to make sure gets her farmer’s daughter chores done, taking care of the chickens and dogs.  Baaaaaallllkkk.  Buk-buk-buk.

Matthew 6:6 says, But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father, who is unseen.  Then your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Father, be with Cailyn as she heads back to school today.  Keep her healthy and happy.  Amen.
