December 14 - “Out of the can of worms”

I was up at 4:30 again. Back issues.  But it gave me a good head start on my prep for the Christmas party Thursday night. I had to get together boxes and wrapping paper and reindeer antlers, and there may or may not even be a lump of coal or two involved. How’s that for a teaser?

It was Chris’ day to bake Amish friendship bread. That meant, of course, that the house smelled divinely cinnamon-y. Hope she saved us one to test out and make sure the others are Christmas-worthy.

Chris also had another doctor appointment. This one was the follow-up to those weird ear tests she took. From the sounds of things, the doc acknowledged there was a problem, but it wasn’t anything super-serious. But she did find another can of worms to open. Apparently, the issues Chris has with balance “might be” attributable to … drumroll here … migraines. I didn’t know that “migraine“ was not necessarily just another name for a really bad headache. It can manifest in dizziness and loss of balance as well. She’s to try taking magnesium pills. If that doesn’t help, she has a list of others to add to the regimen. Here’s hoping something in there works.

Psalms 126:5 says, Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.”

Father, please help all these docs figure out something that works to help Chris. Amen.
