Well, it was plumb cold yesterday. Still awful cold today. 37 with 36 mph gusts yesterday. That created a wind chill of 15 to 19. 32 and a wind chill of 16 today. As I said … plumb cold.
We left a little early so we could go to Bay Harbor and check Sam’s mailbox. We also stopped at her house to check on things there. Then it was on to church.
Great service again. Kel did the second half of his State of the Church / Visioning sermon. Good stuff. And after church was third Sunday dinner on the grounds. Can’t beat that church folk cooking. And to top it off, somebody brought a key lime pie. I was in.
We had to make a U-turn on the way home. Not because we were still hungry, though. Chris forgot her water bottle. Actually, I guess that’s on me, too. I took our Bibles to the car. Just didn’t look under the seat where it was hiding. Didn’t take long, though. I did find out that my key is finally obsolete. Locks have been changed. Oh, well. I am retired, after all.
1 Chronicles 16:24 says,
“Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful works among all peoples.”
Father, help us all stay warm. Amen.
