I took a Claritin D before bed yesterday because my nose was so stopped up I could barely breathe. I even started the night in the recliner. I knew if I laid flat it would only get worse. That happens to me every winter. Sometimes it advances into a full-blown cold or the flu, but mostly just annoying symptoms.
The Claritin D worked like a charm. Only problem was that I woke up at around 1 a.m. Gooooood morning ! And I mean wide awake. Not even crossword puzzles made me sleepy. It was like what happens when I have to take steroids. No sleep forthcoming. I muddled through the night. Freddy entertained me with her switching from chair to chair to couch to my chair and back to the couch. She couldn’t get comfortable either.
Chris worked on her closet most of the morning. I tried to transfer as many photos as I could from the camera and my phone to the computer. Quite the daunting task. That’ll probably take a while.
We did undertake a mission into the stark cold outdoors. Several prongs to this one. First we stopped at Home Depot. We were looking for a shelf bracket to add some stability to the clothes bar in Chris’ closet. It is bending dangerously far in the middle. Once we found what we needed there, we moved to the floor bracket section. Different closet. In this one, the doors are continually sliding off track because the floor guide had become a mangle pile of plastic. So we got an unmangled pile of plastic. Maybe we can get it to stabilize now.
From home improvement to the lawyer’s office. Just needed to drop off the letter from Sam’s sister. Hopefully this will complete everything the judge needs.
Our final stop? Best for last. Walmart. I needed bananas. Well, there were other things on the list as well, but hey. Bananas. We also had a bonus. Helen from our home group was there, so we got to chat with her. Way to go, Walmart!
John 9:37-38 says, Jesus answered, “You have seen Him; in fact, He is the One speaking with you.” “I believe, Lord! ” he said, and he worshiped Him.
Father, please bless Helen as she does what she can for the residents of the nursing facility where she works. Amen.
