June 29 – “Day Seven”

Now it’s time to leave this place
That’s a sad look on your face
As we start to load the van
They brought breakfast to us, man!

Saw some dancing, choir, and drums
Mission off’ring, quite a sum
God says walk in victory
It’s been won by, well, by he

Lots of hugs by week-long friends
Jason, why so forlorn, then?
The one you looked for daily
She left early, didn’t Haley?

Set out on our long home road
Many miles to next abode
Entertainment was not missed
Like ol’ Jason’s solo list

George was happy when at Post
“Found a girlfriend” was his boast
Then at rest stop Abilene
He asked her to marry heem

Van hero was Kara, why?
Pers’nal hotspot and wi-fi
Finally stopped to all turn in
‘Round ‘bout eleven P. M.

Did one extra “Be” today
Let’s be thankful, what do ya say?
Final act before to bed
George and Lizabeth now are wed!

Philippians 4:4-6 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.”

Father, thank you for riding with us on this really long leg of the journey.  Amen.
