June 27 – “Day Five”

Talked about how to be real
Shared some strange things we had sealed
One guy clear to China trooped
Off that great Wall there he … well, he’s a nut!

How can we be really real?
By example should appeal
Church is full of sickos, right?
Be an E.R., not a sight

While inside for heat relief
Child we met of fire chief
It’s her mom who’s chief, you see
Of Glorieta VFD

We were asked some questions.  Wrong!
Are you married?  For how long?
You retired?  Living here?
We’ve been hitched thirty-nine years!

Espey finally found DP
Crawled beneath the tape, did she
To the lake.  Jase said, “It’s cold.
You may hurt because you’re old.”

PK didn’t try to hide
Joined him down the water slide
PK blobbed Jase way up high
Jason girly-squealed, oh my

Jesus is primary vine
Stay connected all the time
People know you’re Christians, how?
The way you love each other now

Want to be a sharpened sword?
You need a file in accord
Let him challenge what you do
Then let that part go from you

Church group time was just the best
Unity was our next test
Jake said our group’s simple, real
And our unity’s the deal

“So you wanna be” they asked
Rock star, circus, genius passed
Disney princess all the rage
Kara totally rocked the stage

Psalms 31:19 says, “How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you.”

Father, thank you for helping our little group realize that they are just that … a group.  Amen.
