April 24 - “A quarantine day”

We began our little quarantine Sunday by tuning in to a few TV preachers. Sort of. We did watch then on our TV … by way of the computer hooked into it. Nine o’clock was the the start time for Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco. We have somewhat of a vested interest in that group. Their pastor is kinda special to us. So is “our” Sunday School class (at least it’s ours when we are in Waco). Josh did his usual great job of preaching. Then we switched over to a certain little church service on an island off the coast of Texas. We had really hoped to be there, but our little unwanted souvenir from Hawaii - the actual Covid - kept us away. Kel did a great job, and it was good to see at least a few of our family as they meandered in front of the camera.

We spent the afternoon watching the Astros game. And once again, the good guys didn’t disappoint. Came from behind again to sweep the Braves. Finally two games above .500. It’s about time.

We ended our day out in the front yard chatting with neighbors and watching Brennan fly a kite. Might have stayed longer, but it was getting downright cold. Mid - 60’s. Nope. Back inside.

Romans‬ ‭1‬‬:‭16‬ says, For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

Father, give us the patience to get through this whole postponement thing. Amen.
