June 1 – “Day of the Crash”

We took a day off on Monday.  Sort of.  Memorial Day and all.  We did fly our flag out front.  Gotta give honor where honor is due.

Josh and his family left pretty early in the morning.  Well, not early early.  No alarms were set that I know of.  But they loaded up after they woke up and had some breakfast.  They made it home around three, so the holiday traffic must not have been too bad.

Chris hit the laundry situation hard and heavy.  Seems like it was always running, making noise.  Kinda got used to the noise.  Hotels for a month, then grandkids for a few days.  Lots of noise.  I still managed to get started of on my work week stuff.  Did some computer work and spent some time readying birthday cards for mailing today.

But other than that, we watched the Astros game and crashed.  So this won’t be one of those blog days that we scroll backwards to try and find to see what of import that was that happened.  Nothing to see here.  Scroll on by …

1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.  And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

Father, thank you for one of those “crash” kind of days.  We both need a few more of them.  Amen.
