I had last minute WalMart run duty yesterday. It was time to get the final stuff for Cousins Camp 2020. I think I was successful. Except maybe more bananas. We probably need more bananas.
Meanwhile
Chris went over to pick up Cailyn. It
was our day two of hanging out with her while Mom and Dad were at work.
Things
were fairly quiet around here most of the day.
Well, other than Cailyn’s incessant pacing. She was more than a little bit excited to see
her Waco cousins. She didn’t even stand
still long enough to help Nani bake cookies.
I watched a movie with her after working on the sermon for a while. That helped some.
And
then the Waco cousins arrived. The sound
and energy levels immediately increased, oh … maybe three fold. That will increase yet again to ten or
fifty-fold when the LaMarque cousins are added into the mix this morning. Freddy was overly excited to have new people
around to give her attention.
We
had tacos with all the fixin’s for supper.
I think that will be the cuisine for today as well, unless we can catch
some fish this morning. Josh had an
online meeting for about an hour last night, so the kids all played fairly
quietly, some inside and some outside in the back yard. DadDad was able to watch the Astros
game. Hitting-wise it was a pretty
exciting affair. Lead changes and the like. Sadly the final lead change put the Astros in
the throes of defeat on a walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth. The Babes of the Bullpen didn’t do too badly. It’s gotta be tough for a single or double A
prospect to be thrown to the wolf pack of major league hitters. But, hey.
That’s all that’s left in the Astros pitching staff. This weird season will definitely have to
have an asterisk by it.
Gotta
get ready for that fishing trip now.
Hoping for some available bait this time …

Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Be joyful
always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s
will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Father,
watch over these cousins camp kiddos this weekend. Amen.
