June 5 - “Get-away Day”

We finally got on the road around 9:45 or so. Not that we were on a rigid schedule or anything. We just always shot for around 9 on our “get-away days.”  We missed an exit “opportunity” before we got out of Waco, but a quick U-turn solved that problem. And we were on our way.

I heard from our good friends, the Winkles. They are in Galveston this week and want to do something fishing. Their son Corbin has been wanting to introduce his daughter to salt water fishing, so we’ll figure out a way to make that happen.

We made really good time coming home, even with our Buc-ees lunch stop. Didn’t take long for Freddy to show up from across the street. Brennan brought her home. Thanks so much to the Geran’s for all their help.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ says, You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord as long as I live.

Father, thank you for  “get-away” days. Always good to check in at home. Amen.
