June 1 - “Salad of Celebration”

We made our two miles and Chris did just fine. She said she felt better yesterday. Back at the house she dove into doing some prep work for the next time Noa wants to work on her sewing over here. I tried to get ahead by addressing some birthday cards and beginning prep for home group.

In the afternoon we headed into Texas. We went to a graduation party for Micah’s girlfriend, Kaylie. She lives somewhere in League City or Friendswood or somewhere up there. It was fun to watch the interactions between people from the different aspects of Kaylie’s life. Karate, church, school, family, all tossed together into a salad of celebration. Congrats, Kaylie.

We stopped by Nathan’s on the way home. April was in bed feeling poorly. Cailyn was at her boyfriend’s house hanging out with his family. So we had a chance to chat with just Nathan for a while. He showed us a photo of his latest woodworking project. A ten foot long table. It’s huge. Gorgeous, though. You know what? We kinda like that kid.

Psalms‬ ‭100‬:‭5‬ says, For Yahweh is good, and His love is eternal; His faithfulness endures through all generations.

Father, help April get the rest she needs to stay healthy. Amen.
