The Vaughan family increased the attendance at Seaside yesterday. They accounted for almost 30% of attenders. 16 Vaughan’s out of 52 total attendance. Did I get the math right there? Guess all that good dinner on the grounds food was quite the draw (at least for us!).
The Santa Fe Vaughan branch stopped by the house on their way home to pick up Marlee. We were still in church, so we didn’t get to see them this time. Zak and Lindsay left after church so they could squeeze in an Island seafood dinner before heading home. The rest of the Waco bunch headed back up north after dinner on the grounds. The LaMarque crew came back to the house to spend the afternoon watching TV before heading back to the church for the book study.
Once they all disembarked, we could finally turn our attention to our trip packing. Chris did sneak in a load of laundry while they were still here, but the pile remained.
Ezra stayed behind with us during the book study. We watched the March Madness tournament reveal show. Five teams from Texas made it. So did Micah’s future school, Liberty University. Should be a fun few weeks. Of course we’ll be on the road, so we’ll be having fun no matter what.
Psalms 27:4 says, I have asked one thing from the Lord; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the Lord and seeking Him in His temple.
Father, thanks for the full weekend of family. Now come with us on this new trek. Amen.
