September 27 - “Jesus-y”

We snuck in our 3.2 mile walk (a little over 5K). We weren’t sure whether or not the workers were coming back to finish the house. Not that we could tell. We did leave the gate unlocked for them, though, but we found out later that had an emergency call to repair someone’s floor. I’d call that an emergency for sure.

We got word just after lunch that a friend from our pastor days has been admitted to the hospital. We decided to run out there and say hi and pray with her. However, when we got there she was not in her room. That sometimes happens. We left a note, assuring her of our prayers.

On the way home we went to Randall’s. I had a prescription ready for pickup. I guess that was importantly. But the “secondary” reason for going was … Blue Bell Ice Cream was on sale. $5 instead of $9:49. Sadly, though, you could only buy two cartons.

The rest of the day we tried to just relax and enjoy a movie or two. Hallmark style, of course. I say “Hallmark Style” because the main one we watched was on the  Great American Family Channel. Same type of movies, only more “Jesus-y.”

Daniel‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ says, Those who are wise will shine like the bright expanse of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

‭‭

Father, be with Joanna in the hospital. And help her doctors and nurses as they care for her. Amen.
