I had one of those really weird dreams. Outside of our house, we stumbled across a big penguin-size bird, maybe even three feet tall. Head like a puffin. All white with fluffy feathers. Kind eyes.
It let me pick it up. Strange. We took it home. To our surprise, when we got there, we discovered that it was actually not a bird at all. It was a little girl. Then, quite matter-of-fact, she was our granddaughter. Told you it was weird.
So back to our real life … we did our walk. In fact, we added a half mile to it (3.5 miles). That was my fault. I wanted to see if that would get my step count up to 10,000 without having to walk in circles during commercials. It got me up to eight thousand plus. Still had to roam around some. Chris, on the other hand, walked some stairs before doing her weight training. I think she had her steps in by lunch time.
We actually had a fairly calm afternoon. Chris did some quilting that she has been wanting to get to for a long time. I worked on a jigsaw puzzle. It’s been a while since I’ve done that, too.
I did finally get the call from the Cath lab to schedule my angiogram. Yep. My turn. But it’s obviously not a crisis situation. It’s not happening for another month. I’ll save any anxiety for another week or two.
Deuteronomy 11:18 says, Imprint these words of mine on your hearts and minds, bind them as a sign on your hands, and let them be a symbol on your foreheads.
Father, thank you for weird dreams. I have no idea what they mean, but they sure are fun in hindsight. Amen.
