Well, Chris completed her last physical therapy session yesterday for her shoulder. At least, it’s her last unless she feels like she really needs some more. She has to keep doing the exercises at home to strengthen the muscles some more. The therapist’s final thought? “It will just take some time.” Great. Just what you want to hear, right?
She
still has two more weeks of cardiac rehab.
She seems to be doing fine with that.
She also had an appointment with her cardiologist yesterday
afternoon. That meant a drive into Texas
where his office is. She is still having
a few issues that may or may not be related to her heart. I’m not really sure what the guy said. He went into teaching mode and forgot we are
not medical students. Chris seemed to be
following him, though. If all things go
as planned, she doesn’t have to see him again for six months. I did hear that part.
But
… when he did the requisite listen to her heart and lungs, he heard something. Yep.
Something else. Her lungs were
crackly. Fluid down in the bottom
apparently. Her legs weren’t swollen,
though, so he didn’t seem overly concerned.
He did say that she needed to follow up with her PCP to get the lungs
checked out. She already has an appointment
for the first week in May. He said to call
the clinic and get in sooner than that.
So much for the reassurance he gave earlier. Something else. Sigh.
On
a fun note … we finished the first tiny monster jigsaw puzzle. 1000 teeny tiny pieces. It’s not of monsters, it’s just monstrous to
see those little bitty puzzle pieces.
And I started the second one. It’s
even tinier than the other one. In fact I
got so addicted to it that I finished it before the Astros game ended. That one is not much bigger than a dollar
bill. Just 150 pieces, though. And I didn’t pull out the magnifying glass
even once. I think I’m ready for a full-sized
challenge again.
Psalms
46:10 says, “He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted
among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’”
Father,
please touch Chris again with your healing in her lungs. Not sure what that is all about. Amen.
