We made it for two miles. I for one was whooped. I stayed up for 15 of the 18 innings of the World Series game. Chris had some soreness from her weight class that was keeping her awake. Speaking of soreness, my “Sally up, Sally downs” when I was hauling branches to the street worked their way into some spare legs. So, two miles? I’ll take it.
Chris spent the afternoon with her physical therapy buddy. The original guy apparently got a kick out of doing deep tissue massage - on her foot. The girl she had this time wasn’t as rough on her, but nevertheless … that massage. Chris is just not a big fan.
I stuck around the house. Paid a bill. Watched some Hallmark. The most recent puzzle is already finished, so no work available there. It was a fun one. State of Texas with key places illustrated. And very colorful. That makes it much easier.
The carpenters came by. Not the old singing family. The actual carpenters who have been doing work on the house. They checked a ventilation grate and sure enough, they will be back sometime today to replace it. Here we go again.
2 Corinthians 4:18 says, So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Father, be with these workers today. Bless them. Amen.
