October 18 - “They’re back”

Chris walked. I supervised … Not her walk. I supervised the guys working on the house. I’ve been put on walking hold until next week. Not by the doctor. Oh no. A much more powerful authority than him. Yep. Chris. She’s worried that with the drugs in my system from the cath, and the fact that I already fell once (I’m still pretty sore), she doesn’t want me to chance falling again. Done deal. No discussion allowed.

The workers were all back - painters and carpenters. By around 2:00 they were well into the second coat on the main part of the house. And the carpenters had the wood they needed all purchased, and they had made most of their cuts. Guess we are well on our way.

Oh! I think I have failed to mention a further development in our house repair saga. Not only do we need a new light for the front porch and a new doorbell and a new mailbox, our 17-year-old dishwasher is going out as well.

All that led to a shopping trip to - not Walmart. This time it was a Home Depot run. Just a few minor accessories. Mailbox. Outdoor Plug assembly. Light for the front porch. We also searched for a doorbell and a dishwasher. No luck on either.

Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭10‬ says, The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are protected.

Father, be with these workers. Draw them closer to you. Amen.
