Yes. We did our walk. One miler. I also did my back stretches. Yes. I am sore.
We
got a call to pick up Cailyn and Lexie from school yesterday. Nathan and April were stuck at the vet’s office. Seems their Boston Terrier Scooter has been having
some real problems. In a nutshell, his
back is shot. I feel his pain. But he’s a lot further down the road than I
am. By the classic dog-age figuring, he’s
105 years old. Nice life, Old Man. You’re my hero, for sure. They are just making him comfortable with
medications.
We
have a new neighbor, temporarily, at least. Janell’s Mom is staying with them
for a while. She fell at work and broke
her arm up near her shoulder. Apparently
workman’s comp is going to cover the expenses, but she was having some trouble
getting comfortable in the meantime. So
we offered our smaller recliner for her to see if she could rest in it any
better than trying to lie down flat.
Corey and Janell came over to get it, and when they went to pick it up,
Freddy kept jumping into it. See, that
chair is one of her favorite haunts during the day. She can sit it in and see out the front
door. Plus, she gets a lot of attention
from Corey and Janell when they come over, so she naturally assumed they were
there for her. I finally had to pick her
up (Freddy, not Janell) so they could get the chair out the door. And word has it that the recliner is just
perfect for what they needed. Freddy, we’ll
just have to get you another one …
Proverbs
16:9 says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord
establishes their steps.”
Father,
would you please do your healing work on and in Janet? She’s in a lot of pain, so give her some
relief. Amen.
