Back to the old grind once again. Chris had physical therapy for that shoulder of hers. They are beginning to really put the stretch to it. I think she is making pretty good progress.
From there we drove into Texas to the Social Security office. We had to notify them of the account breach at the bank and give them the new account number. Last time we were there we faced a line outside the door. This time there was still a wait, but at least there were seats inside for everyone.
After about a 30 minute wait, our turn came. The lady helping us was very sweet. She had pictures that her little sons had drawn hanging on her wall. Very cute. She worked her computer magic and got our account all switched out. She said there was no way they could track if someone was using our number until next year when their earnings would start to be recorded. She encouraged us to establish a My Social Security account online so we could better keep track on our end. Okay. File that one.
Back to the police department. Another wait. This time for another officer to have a chat with us. This time she took an actual report and gave us a case file number and everything. Very helpful.
On the way home we did a quick swing into the bank. I had them make themselves a copy of the police file number and officer’s name. Now all we can do is wait and watch our credit. Well, I guess there might be one other thing. We can call some of the organizations that we make active use of our email with, and give them the new one. Sigh. It’s the Never-ending Saga.
Ephesians 4:1-3 says, Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Father, thanks for walking with us through this crazy saga. Amen.
