We started our day at the hospital. Now, don’t worry. Nobody was hurt or anything like that. Well, unless you include the needle that stuck Chris. She had her regular bloodwork at the lab.
From there we stopped by to pick up my hearing aid. I asked about changing the tip protector to a smaller size. That was enough to get the audiologist to come out and see me in person. She had me show her how I generally put it in. Yep. I struggled. And she nodded knowingly. She then taught me two different ways to do the insertion. So far so good.
From there we went straight to Walmart. Well, not exactly straight. We pulled over at one point to let an ambulance pass. Then we couldn’t get back into the flow of traffic. So Chris got creative and took another route.
The Walmart run started as a fruit fulfillment task. Bananas, of course. Oranges, too. And tomatoes. And an avocado. Oh, and milk. And toilet paper. Sigh. A hundred and fifty dollars later, we finally got out of there.
Last night we were back at home group again. Missed Sandy. She was recovering from surgery, so she got a begrudging pass. As usual, it was great to see everybody.
1 Corinthians 3:7 says, So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.
Father, thank you for the friends and strangers we get to see at Walmart. Makes it fun. Amen.
