April 18 - “Peektures”

I got an early start yesterday. It was time to do pictures for the fire department. They only do it every five years, and I think I was on a cruise for the last round, so I wanted to get there for this one. Not that we bought any pictures. I just wanted to make sure I was on the list to get one of the books they produce. It will take them eight or nine months to get the book completed, though. Oh well.

It was actually a good trip on another front. I got to see almost everybody who was on shift. For one reason or another they all just came by the main station. Always great to see my guys.

In the late morning Chris was cleaning house in anticipation of home group. I changed clothes and immediately became a pusher. Of our lawn mower! Of our lawn mower! It’s always something in the storied life of a Galveston homeowner.

After lunch and some showers we had to make another Walmart run. This one was specifically for our family Easter meal on Friday. And more eggs. Had to get more eggs to dye as well. And more stuff for the kiddos. Woohoo!

John‬ ‭6‬:‭51‬ ‭I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.

Father, thank you for the random fun that can be part of Easter. Please join us on the beach Sunday. Amen.
