December 9 - “Reprisal”

We headed back to church again in the morning. It was time to watch Caleb in a reprisal of his role as, well, Caleb in the radio-musical formatted production first aired the night before. And once again, he did a remarkable job. The choir and cast and crew and orchestra and director all received standing ovations this time. Well done, gang. As a bonus treat, we got to see the Winkles, who drove in to offer their support to Caleb as well.

Next we went up to our Sunday School class. We were a little late. So we had to sit on the front row. Gotta move quicker next time.

After class we headed straight to the second service. This time they did a combination carol and praise singing, along with readings about Christmas. It was well put together, and everyone there seemed to really get involved.

After church we headed over to Freddy’s for lunch to celebrate Caleb’s successful musical/dramatic career. It’s AnnaGrace’s favorite place. She loves their fries. Chris and I had grilled chicken sandwiches. Just color us healthy. Of course you have to ignore the basket of fries we put away. But, hey. It was chicken. Grilled chicken. That covers a multitude of sins, doesn’t it?

Last night we acted as Uber drivers. Josh and Christi had to be at an event at four for adults only. We brought the kids up at five for their event. We ended up being “paid” with a really good barbecue sandwich.

‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭34‬-‭35‬ ‭ says, For God sent Him, and He speaks God’s words, since He gives the Spirit without measure. The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hands.

Father, please use the contact with Caleb’s show to draw his basketball teammate and his family closer to you. Amen.
