June 11 - “A neighborhood issue”

We had an interesting neighborhood issue the night we got home. I went out to the car to get the closing mileage. And there, across the street (not the Geran’s. Their next door neighbor- Corrie and Terry), was an ambulance. I stayed out to see which of the two would be loaded up. And I wasn’t alone. Janell came out and chatted briefly. So did another neighbor, Mary.

Finally, the paramedics appeared. It was Terry they had on the gurney. He had some issues that caused Corrie some concern, so they were taking him to get him checked out. Wow! Enough excitement for one day.

I set a 2 a.m. alarm call on my phone. That was the time for Chris’ next round of pain meds. She’s been behaving pretty well in taking those meds. The next step was to ice it for 20 minutes every 3-4 hours. She was not too excited about that one. But she took it like a champ.

Christina, Noa, and Josiah stopped by after their music lessons. They also brought us some food. Good stuff. Thanks, Guys.

We also had some texts and phone calls throughout the afternoon. Winkles. Huntley’s. LaMarque Vaughans. Waco Vaughans (and Caleb from his mission trip in Del Rio!). Santa Fe Vaughans. Home groupers. Minnesota Gary. Not to mention CVS and Cologuard! Thanks to everyone!

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭14‬ says, Wait for the Lord; be strong and courageous. Wait for the Lord.

Father, thank you for all the expressions of love and concern. Amen.
