After breakfast we went across the boat to the Royal Theater. The Barney Fife relative was giving episode five of his series about his uncle. The guy is pretty funny by himself, but this time he had numerous film clips from the show to back up his talk. Great fun.
From there we went back upstairs. Chris needed to take a nap. I wasn’t far behind her. We dozed until time for lunch. I had a burger. Actually really tasty. Chris had some broccoli soup. I guess it tasted ok. She didn’t throw it at a waiter or anything.
We did share a table with some folks from Austin and Beaumont. One of the guys was retired from the Blue Bell factory. He had also been a volunteer fire fighter for many years. Always good to meet up with a member of that family.
Once again … a time change. Lunge forward. And once again we succumbed to the tug of nap time. It’s just hard to keep up with this whole hourly difference every day. Actually we get a break today - no change. But it will resume tomorrow. Can’t wait.
After dinner we went to a performance called iskate. It was kind of the freestyle show-off time for the ice skaters in the regular show. I gotta say, they were incredibly athletic and graceful all at the same time. Very impressive.
Matthew 7:8 says, For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Father, be with that retired fire fighter and his wife. Bless them with great happiness and peace. Amen.
