June 24 – “The new Day Two”

Jason woke up with a scream
George was at his ear, no dream
McDonalds our George was home
Old guys breakfast club did come

Now to camp, what change in store?
Off chapel roof – zip lines galore
Big ol’ blob is in the lake
Water slides – there’s four to take

Feel like climbing up a wall?
To the chapel with you all
Concrete’s gone sand everywhere
Park your van and leave it there

Fuge store’s open quite a bit
Coffee shop is their new hit
Alas, alack, there’s more in store
The Chuck Wagon is no more

So to mealtime when we go
Ten each table, don’t you know
Only then your food you’ll get
But one of you must get it

When you finish – clean-up time
Clear you dishes, hey, that’s fine
Then the table you must set
For the group that’s not et yet

Did I tell you ‘bout this shock?
No camp rooms now have a lock
Next year meds from us they’ll take
Changed some laws in this here state

Jason and ol’ PK too
Private rooms we give to you
George is grinning, he won’t stop
In his private bunk on top

Learn to be the church this week
Not a steeple – people meek
Jesus is the truth, the way
And the life, so in him stay

Hebrews 13:20-21 says, “May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Father, thank you for getting us all the way here once again.  Come in a great way this week.  Amen.
