8:30 Walmart … finished up the shopping there. Almost forgot one thing, but Chris remembered. Getting the errant receipt happened, but sadly, their computer was not quite smart enough to print out gift receipts as well. Sigh. Oh well, Walmart is usually pretty good at taking back stuff, even without a receipt.
9:45 Academy … needed just one more gift and we would be finished for the year (With Christmas gifts, anyway). Found it. Check.
10:00 Bank … had to stop in for some cash. Quickest spot to do that.
10:15 Pet’s Mart … hey. Freddy needs a Christmas present, too. Actually, She needs the chew sticks the vet recommended.
10:45 Back home … grabbed some lunch. Leftover chicken enchilada pie. Hate that I’ve had to eat almost that whole thing myself. Not. It was gooood.
12:30 to about 3 Wrapping time …This was a marathon event. Chris was absolutely in the zone. She got every single gift wrapped or inserted into gift bags. That is, until we realized that we were one gift short. So …
3:15 Back to shopping … This one fell to me. Chris was already multitasking. She had some baby Lima beans slow-cooking on the stove. It didn’t take me long, though. Fortunately, we knew what we wanted to get, so it got got.
3 to after some supper (those baby limas - yum) … Chris shifted into baking mode. Boy! Are we ever gonna have an array of desserts on Monday. Frozen cheesecake. Pudding pie. Chocolate chip cookies. Christmas mix. And there may or may not even be a taste of divinity hiding on the kitchen counter. Chris has been one busy lady.
Romans 10:9 says, If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Father, we are getting excited about seeing all our family together. Keep them safe. Amen.
